Considering the request from *twostepwaltz, I'm posting the set of brushes I use. I want to mention that these are not all my brushes, some of them being Photoshop original brushes, some being other artist's brushes I found useful to me and some being brushes of my own. You will find some grass and hair brushes, some foliage and background trees I made myself. I hope you'll consider at least some of them useful, incorporate them in your own set of brushes and hopefully share them with other artists around the web.
I use Adobe CS5 so I hope these fit to your tool of choice.
You probably have set the abr files to open by default in Photoshop directly. Instead of clicking on "Download file", right click on it and choose "Save link content as" and save it on desktop.
Mate, abr is the native form of photoshop regarding brushes. After you save it, you need to copy it to Photoshop - Plugins - Brushes then fire up Photoshop, click on the brush icon, go up to where you choose your brush and click the lateral arrow to open up the secondary menu. There you chose "Load Brushes" and select the file with the brushes you just downloaded.
Thank you for uploading these, Mates. Stuck them into Photoshop. Maybe now my art will look as good as yours. You're a good person for admitting these aren't all yours and everyone who uses this set will keep that in mind.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you post examples of things you use these brushes for? (Obviously not for the hair and leafy/foliage ones.) I'm always having difficulty making my art look believable.
i don't use photoshop often, i used it maybe twice
